The San Diego State men’s basketball team is heading to the 2025 NCAA Tournament as an at-large bid. In the Mountain West Tournament, it lost 62-52 to Boise State in the quarterfinals.
The Aztecs are 21-9 overall this season and went 14-6 in MWC play.

San Diego State has reached the Sweet Sixteen four times: 2011, 2014, 2023, and 2024.
The 2023 tournament also saw a run to the national championship game, where SDSU lost 76-59 to UConn.
San Diego State Basketball Coach Brian Dutcher Salary
Brian Dutcher has an annual base salary of $2.3 million as San Diego State’s head coach.
Dutcher enters his eighth season as SDSU’s head coach. The Aztecs have reached 20 wins in each season while hitting at least 30 wins in 2019-20 and 2022-23. SDSU has qualified for the NCAA Tournament in seven of Dutcher’s eight seasons, only missing the tourney in 2018-19.
