Scott Cross is in his sixth season as Troy’s head basketball coach.
After going 9-22 in his first year in 2019-20 and 11-17 the next season, Cross has led Troy to four straight 20-win seasons. The Trojans went 20-12 in 2021-22, 20-13, 20-12, and 23-10 this year.
Cross was the head coach at UT Arlington from 2006 to 2018, leading the Mavericks to the Sun Belt Conference championship game in 2018. Cross was fired after that season as UTA athletic director Jim Baker cited a need for new leadership in the program. He became an assistant at TCU in the 2018-2019 season before being named the new head coach at Troy.
