After Steve Spurrier left Florida for the NFL in 2001, the Gators hired New Orleans Saints defensive coordinator Ron Zook as head coach. It was a bad hire that somehow got worse when Zook actually coached games. What about other coaching downgrades recently? Frank Solich to Bill Callahan, Bill Snyder to Ron Prince?
