No. 93 Youhanna Ghaifan
Wyoming – DT
Youhanna Ghaifan was the eighth-ranked recruit in the 2015 class…from the state of Nebraska. He was the 2,710th-ranked overall recruit and has come out of nowhere to become one of the most dominant defensive linemen in college football.
He redshirted in 2015, had a strong 2016 season and exploded last year, recording 69 tackles, 15.5 tackles for loss and seven sacks. Ghaifan's 34 run stops from 2017 rank third among returning interior defenders, according to Pro Football Focus.
“Domination, pretty much,” the 6-foot-4, 290-pounder said when asked to define a good spring. “I want to make every play, and if I don’t make every play then I didn’t do my job that day. That’s kind of how I feel like I could be really good not only in the Mountain West Conference but throughout the nation. I have to dominate.”
