Darius Jackson helped the Jacksonville State Gamecocks go undefeated in the Ohio Valley Conference this season, and put up big numbers along the way.
The junior led the conference with 10 sacks, finishing 15th in FCS play in that category. His 15.5 tackles for loss also led the OVC.
Jackson did a little bit of everything for the Gamecocks, registering 13 QB hits, forcing a fumble and recovering two more, and grabbing an interception to boot.
Jacksonville State was one of the toughest defensive units in the country this year, finishing fourth in defensive yardage (274.9 yards per game) and eighth in scoring defense (18.3 points per game), and Jackson played a key role in that output.
