No. 73 Jonah Williams
Alabama – OT
Jonah Williams was a five-star member of Alabama's 2016 recruiting class. He was the 17th-ranked prospect and second-ranked offensive tackle, only behind Greg Little. Williams was supposed to be really darn good. And he's been really darn good.
He started at right tackle as a true freshman and moved to left tackle last year to protect Jalen Hurts' blind side following the departure of Cam Robinson. There's been some speculation that Williams could move back to right tackle if southpaw Tua Tagovailoa wins the starting job but he'd prefer to remain at left tackle.
"I'm not going to say there is no chance, because we want the five best out there," Williams said in April, "but I'm very comfortable playing left tackle and haven't taken a snap elsewhere in almost two years. I'm comfortable there and enjoy playing there."
And his future is on the left side. He's fourth-ranked 2019 NFL Draft prospect for Bleacher Report's Matt Miller, who said the 6-foot-5, 301-pounder could be a candidate for the No. 1 pick next April.
"He's everything we want in a tackle. He's smart, athletic, tough and experienced. I don't know what the question marks are," an NFL scout told Miller recently.
