Justin Fuente's win total has declined in each of his three full seasons as Virginia Tech head coach, and following the Hokies' blowout loss to Duke in Week 5, his win total may decline again in year four.
Fuente isn't even two years removed from a nine-win season (and 19 wins over two seasons) and a contract extension that included a gigantic buyout if he's fired without cause. Could the Hokies pull the plug? That seems highly unlikely, though as we've seen historically, the college football hot seat is unpredictable. And if Fuente is fired, who would they hire?
