UCF, Boise State, North Texas, App State and BYU retained their respective top-five spots in the Week 5 Group of Five rankings, but there was significant shuffling below them.
Three teams teams that lost in Week 4 made big moves in the rankings: Army's upset bid of Oklahoma fell short, but the Black Knights vaulted up seven spots to No. 7 in the Week 5 rankings. Florida Atlantic lost to UCF on Friday night but the Owls were the first team to challenge the Knights this season and moved up to No. 9.
Also, Louisiana Tech (No. 12) lost to LSU but they trailed the Tigers by just three points in the second half, and and Old Dominion checks in at No. 35 after stunning Virginia Tech.
