Ask any football coach and he will tell you, special teams is one third of the game. Special teams can break the game wide open for a squad, but it could also spoil a great offensive and defensive performance with just a few small mistakes. Just ask Jim Harbaugh and Les Miles after this week.
The FBS saw some things on special teams that have never been seen before, although I can’t say I was surprised by Les Miles’s fake field goal call to lift BR-5 LSU over BR-11 Florida. Miles has been known to get tricky on field goals. But unless you’re from Ann Arbor, plays like this are fun and funny to watch as a college football fan, so here you go, the best and worst special teams plays from the weekend.
