The Presidential Medal of Freedom, the nation’s highest civilian honor, is “presented to individuals who have made especially meritorious contributions to the security or national interests of the United States, to world peace, or to cultural or other significant public or private endeavors.”
The football staff at Oklahoma Panhandle State deserve a Presidential Medal of Freedom. The coaches at the Division II school apparently love Halloween and decided to bring the holiday to their sideline when hosting NAIA program Texas College last Saturday. Head coach Russell Gaskamp donned a Batman costume while offensive coordinator Lucas Peters went as The Joker.
Not only did the pair look great, the ruthless enemies successfully co-existed for one common goal: Throttling Texas College. The Aggies improved to 5-3 with a blowout win, 62-7, over the Steer.
