Pac-12 commissioner Larry Scott wants to see one of his conference's teams try a 9 a.m. PT kickoff. If David Shaw has his say, that guinea pig won't be Stanford.
"The whole body clock issue is an interesting one,” Scott told The Athletic three weeks ago. “You can go back and track, but most of our schools do play at 9 a.m. Pacific Time when they play on the East Coast, when they travel for those games. I could give you half a dozen examples over the last five years where our teams played at 9 a.m. So the idea that we can’t play at 9 a.m., well, we obviously can."
