Shelvin Keller, JaCobi Scott
Awful news from Texas: Shelvin Keller and Jacobi Scott, two football players from Southwestern College (Kan.) were killed in a car accident near Marshall, Texas, late on Wednesday night.
Keller was a soon-to-be sophomore running back from LaPlace, La., while Scott was a soon-to-be sophomore quarterback from Denham Spring, La., who began his career at Grambling.
"This news is distressing – our community is tightly knit, we all share in the tragic loss of these two bright, strong, young men – two Builders," school president Brad Andrews said in a statement. "It seems impossible to make sense of tragedies as devastating as this. In these moments of grief, it is important that we offer each other support and comfort.

People Don't Forget, Dan
"I'd think we did a poor job recruiting if guys were coming in and then immediately walking out the door because it was something different than what they thought it would be and we lied to them during recruiting, or we sold them on a dream that wasn't true."
That was Dan Mullen in March.
Since then, he's lost two 2019 early enrollees to transfer, most recently Chris Steele, a 2019 four-star early enrollee. And while Mullen's previous comments make him look foolish, Connor O'Gara of Saturday Down South explains a different reason why Thursday was a brutal day for him in the court of public opinion.
(And Florida lost a four-star commit on Thursday.)

Remember When…
Arkansas didn't suck at football and they were producing highlight-reel plays like Joe Adams' outrageous punt return in 2011.
