No. 44 Joe Giles-Harris
Duke – LB
Joe Giles-Harris had a handful of Power Five offers when he was a three-star prospect out of St. Joseph Regional High School in Montvale, N.J., but he was ranked behind 53 outside linebackers in the 2015 class. Only one of them is having (or in this case, had) as good of a college career as Joe Giles-Harris: Roquan Smith, Georgia's consensus All-American and the eighth pick in the 2018 NFL Draft.
Giles-Harris enters his final season as one of best defenders in the entire country. The 6-foot-2, 240-pound junior has 225 tackles, 25.5 tackles for loss and 8.5 sacks the last two years after redshirting as a freshman in 2015. He had 52 run stops last year, the second-most among returning FBS linebackers, and a run-stop percentage of 15.8, the highest among returning ACC linebackers, according to Pro Football Focus.
Joe Giles-Harris is an All-America candidate and the best No. 44 in college football.
