Leonard Fournette and Patrick Mahomes were among the 95 underclassmen who set the record for most early entrants in the 2017 NFL Draft. Roquan Smith and Minkah Fitzpatrick and others shattered that record this year.

Smith and Fitzpatrick are among 114 early entrants. Fitzpatrick is one of five Alabama players to declare, which is tied for the most of any school. Of the 53 different schools represented, four have five early entrants: Alabama, Florida State, LSU and Texas. Four more schools have at four players, including Clemson and USC, while 10 more have three entrants, including Ohio State and Tennessee.
Twenty-eight of the 95 early entrants last year went undrafted, or 29.5 percent. If there is a similar clip in 2018, you can expect between 33-35 early entrants will not be selected with one of the 256 picks.
