ESPN College GameDay has broadcasted from the Army–Navy Game in each of the last four years. It was no surprise that, in mid-November, GameDay announced a fifth straight show at the most unique college football game of the season.
"Hey Philadelphia! We're coming to your city for one of the biggest rivalries in college football … Army vs. Navy! See you December 8th!" College GameDay tweeted on Nov. 10.
The game, at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia, is the third neutral-site broadcast of the season. A fourth neutral-site game, Ohio State vs. TCU at AT&T Stadium, was broadcasted from TCU's campus. GameDay will also broadcast from two more neutral-site games in the College Football Playoff.
It will be the eighth GameDay appearance for Army and sixth for Navy, which tied for 26th and 30th all time, respectively. Army has won each of the last two meetings after losing the previous 14 meetings. It's their first series winning streak since winning five straight games from 1992-96.
