Last year, Quinyon Mitchell was the lone player from the Group of Five and MAC to be drafted in the first round. The former Toledo star went to the Philadelphia Eagles and thrived immediately, helping the Eagles win the Super Bowl as a rookie.
This year might see a few more G5 prospects go in the first round, and if not, plenty of players from the Group of Five are likely going to get drafted simply based on invitations to the NFL Combine. My Group of Five Big Board features four players I could see going in the first 32 selections.
Here’s a list of every G5 player who will be participating in the combine as well as their positions and the schools they played for.
