Caleb Ransaw followed Jon Sumrall, who became the head coach at Tulane after leading Troy to two consecutive Sun Belt Championships, and it turned out to be a good decision for the standout defensive back.
It set him up to be drafted by the Jacksonville Jaguars in the third round of the 2025 NFL Draft.
Ransaw made the All-AAC third team in 2024. He tallied 33 tackles, four for loss, with three passes defended and one sack.
A year prior, his final season at Troy, he was on the All-Sun Belt honorable mention list. He racked up a career-high 51 tackles and six tackles for loss to go with three passes defended, one interception, and one fumble recovery.
In 2022, he totaled 25 tackles and defended three passes. A season before that, he recorded five tackles in 10 games.
