Charles Huff coached Marshall to three consecutive bowl games during his first three seasons as the head coach there. And then he finished off his tenure with a Sun Belt Championship in 2024.
That was before he went to Southern Miss, and so many players entered the transfer portal that Marshall didn’t play in its bowl game that season. With so many new players, the Golden Eagles were one of the better teams in the conference this past year and nearly made a run to the Sun Belt title game.
