It’s hard to watch a highlight reel of Chris Brazzell II and not become enamored with his potential.

The former Tennessee and Tulane wide receiver burned cornerbacks countless times during his years in college. And between his speed and height, his new NFL team undoubtedly sees him as a brilliant fit in its offense.

Where Did Chris Brazzell Go In The NFL Draft?

Brazzell went to the Carolina Panthers with the 83rd overall pick, in the third round, of the 2026 NFL Draft.

Chris Brazzell’s 40 Time & NFL Combine Results

Brazzell ran the 40-yard dash in 4.37 seconds, which ranked 10th out of 34 wide receivers who participated in that drill at the NFL Combine.

Brazzell was measured at 6 feet, 4 inches and 198 pounds at the combine.

Chris Brazzell II Stats & Highlights

Brazzell flourished at Tennessee, but he honed his craft before that at Tulane.

Brazzell redshirted in 2022 before earning a spot on the All-American Conference third team. He caught 44 passes for 711 yards and five touchdowns as a freshman in 2023.

Then he went to Tennessee and was third on the team with 29 receptions, 333 receiving yards, and two touchdowns.

He earned more notoriety in his final year of college as a junior, leading the SEC and ranking 12th in the FBS with 84.8 receiving yards per game. He was a third-team All-American and was a semifinalist for the Biletnikoff Award and the Earl Campbell Award.

An All-SEC first-team selection, Brazzell totaled nine touchdowns through the air – which also led the conference – and caught 62 passes for 1,017 yards.

Where Is Chris Brazzell II From?

Brazzell is from Midland, Texas. He was a three-star prospect out of Midland Legacy.

How Old Is Chris Brazzell II?

Brazzell is 22 years old.

Chris Brazzell NFL Draft Profile & Comparison

My NFL comparison for Brazzell is Tee Higgins from the Cincinnati Bengals. This isn’t to say he’ll be as productive as Higgins. Both are tall receivers who can do a lot on the football field with their speed.

In Pro Football Focus’ grades for wide receivers who were targeted at least 78 times last season, Brazzell ranked 24th for overall offense and 20th for receiving.

Brazzell is an efficient player with his targets. He ranked 18th with 2.57 yards per route run. And that’s in part because his average depth of target was 15.7 yards, which was seventh in the country.

Brazzell is an enticing NFL prospect because of his big-play ability. His speed stands out on tape. He also has great size for an outside receiver, adjusts well when the ball is in the air, and will successfully fight for 50-50 throws.

But he may need to expand his skill set in the pros, because most of his damage was done with go routes or hitches when defenders were lined up too far off the line of scrimmage to account for that speed.

Still, Brazzell could end up developing into an explosive wide receiver.
