College Football Best Bets & Predictions 2025: Week 10 Picks For Weekday CUSA

No matter if it’s MACtion or weekday CUSA, Group of Five football is fun to watch. After all, there’s a ton of great G5 programs this year.

Here’s my predictions for today’s CUSA games.

FIU vs. Missouri State Prediction

I predict Missouri State will win and cover the 3.5-point spread. I also project the game will go Over 50.5 total points.

This matchup features two teams which are in the top five in Conference USA in total offense. The Panthers are fourth with 398.9 yards per game gained this season while the Bears are right behind in fifth with 373.4 YPG.

However, Missouri State is also top five in total defense with 379.7 YPG allowed, while FIU is 11th in that category with 421.4 YPG allowed on defense. I think that could be a problem for the Panthers.

I also don’t think this is a good matchup for FIU. 

Led by quarterback Jacob Clark, Missouri State has one of the better passing offenses in CUSA. They rank third with 267.1 yards per game through the air. For the season, Clark has thrown for 1,478 yards, 11 touchdowns, and eight interceptions on a 65% completion rate while rushing for two TDs.

Clark has spread the ball around, as five Missouri State pass catchers have at least 230 yards and 15 catches and four have two touchdown receptions. Wide receiver Dash Luke leads Missouri State with 25 catches for 339 yards and two TDs, while running back Ramone Green Jr. has caught 19 passes for 316 yards and two TDs and WR Ronnel Johnson has added 300 yards and two scores on 21 receptions.

FIU is second-to-last in CUSA in passing defense with 268.7 YPG allowed through the air. So I expect Clark will have another effective performance while leading Missouri State to a victory.

Jacksonville State vs. Middle Tennessee Prediction

I predict Jacksonville State wins and covers the 3.5-point spread. I also project the game will go Over 54.5 total points.

Jacksonville State quarterback Caden Creel is reportedly expected to play today, and that would make a huge difference for the Gamecocks. After seeing his role increased the last three games, he’s thrown for 386 yards, two touchdowns, and two interceptions on a 67% completion rate and has rushed for 438 yards and three scores this season.

But whether he plays or not, I think Jax State running back Cam Cook is going to continue to thrive in this matchup on the road. He leads the country with 949 rushing yards and is tied for seventh with 10 touchdowns on the ground.

Cook has been consistent as well. He’s totaled at least 110 rushing yards in five of his last six games and has scored at least two touchdowns in four of his last six outings.

He’s a major reason why the Gamecocks are first in Conference USA and third in the nation with 276 rushing yards per game.

Now, Middle Tennessee hasn’t been bad against the run. The Blue Raiders are third in CUSA in rushing defense with 142.9 yards per game allowed on the ground. 

But I still think Jax State will end up winning the battle in the trenches, and that goes for both sides of the ball. MTSU may end up keeping this game close, like it has in its past three contests, but I ultimately believe the Gamecocks will end up winning by at least a touchdown.
