When Jason Candle decided to leave Toledo, the Rockets had to go through a coaching change for the first time in a decade.
But they didn’t take long to make their next hire.
Toledo named Mike Jacobs as its head coach. Jacobs has a good amount of experience as a head coach, having led Mercer, Lenoir-Rhyne, and Notre Dame College in Ohio. His record as a head coach (94-23) gives him a .803 winning percentage. That ranks fourth among active coaches in NCAA Divisions I and II.
