Elijah Sarratt NFL Draft Projection & Profile: Why The Indiana WR Could Go To The Titans Or Chiefs

Elijah Sarratt played for three different programs between the FCS, the Group of Six, and the Big Ten. But he was productive everywhere he went.

Sarratt is an all-round prospect at wide receiver. Whether it was helping JMU rise to prominence in the FBS or helping Indiana win a national championship, he displayed excellent route-running and instincts at the position.

But how will he transition to the NFL?

Elijah Sarratt NFL Draft Projection

I project Sarratt will be selected in the third round of the 2026 NFL Draft. The Tennessee Titans or Kansas City Chiefs could use his skill set.

Sarratt has been a highly productive player for a great part of his collegiate career at Indiana, James Madison, and Saint Francis. Sarratt is an explosive, savvy player with good size. A lot of teams would get better by adding him.

Elijah Sarratt Height & Weight

Sarratt was measured at 6-foot-2.5 and 210 pounds at the NFL Combine.

Elijah Sarratt Stats & Highlights

Sarratt was a playmaker since he began his collegiate career at Saint Francis.

As a freshman in 2022, he caught 42 passes for 700 yards and 13 touchdowns – which was fifth in the FCS and tied a single-season program record. He also rushed for 46 yards on seven carries and returned five kicks for 84 yards.

Then he went to JMU in 2023 and was a Group of Five All-American and was a first-team All-Sun Belt selection. He recorded 1,191 yards and eight touchdowns on 82 receptions and rushed for a touchdown.

He followed head coach Curt Cignetti to Indiana and kept flourishing. He was an All-Big Ten wideout the past two years. He tallied 957 yards and eight touchdowns on 53 receptions in 2024, and he added 830 yards and 15 touchdowns on 65 catches last season.

Where Is Elijah Sarratt From?

Sarratt is from Stafford, Virginia, and went to Colonial Forge High School.

Elijah Sarratt NFL Draft Profile & Comparison

My NFL comparison for Elijah Sarratt is former Packers star wide receiver Jordy Nelson. This isn’t to say he’ll have the same career trajectory. But Nelson always found ways to get open and was a well-rounded player like Sarratt is.

Among wide receivers who were targeted at least 80 times last season, Sarratt ranked seventh in Pro Football Focus’ grades for overall offense and was sixth for receiving.

He also ranked 35th with 2.39 yards per route run and 37th with a drop percentage of 4.5% – he dropped a mere three passes in 2025.

Sarratt can play outside or in the slot. He doesn’t really burn defenders along the sideline or gain a bunch of yards after the catch, but Sarratt changes his pace to keep defenders guessing.

He’s an excellent route runner. He’s crafty and flat-out knows how to get open. And even when he’s not, he finds ways to come down with the catch anyway. He was seventh in the FBS last season with 30 contested catches.

Sarratt is a fun receiver to watch and could develop into an impact player in the NFL.
