I’m picking Sam Houston to win but for FIU to cover the spread at +5.5. I also predict the game will go Under 41.5 total points.
If Sam Houston is going to win this game, it’s going to be because of the team’s defense. The Bearkats are last in CUSA in terms of scoring offense (11.2 points per game) but fourth in scoring defense (24.7 points per game allowed).
I believe the Panthers will keep it close. But FIU hasn’t played especially well on the road, going 1-2 away from home this season. I think Sam Houston is desperate to earn a win and sees a real opportunity to do so this week.
