JMU is the No. 1 team in the G5 Top 25 college football rankings this week. But the Dukes could easily lose that spot with a tough home matchup this weekend.
The Dukes (5-0, 2-0 Sun Belt) will host No. 15-ranked Georgia Southern (4-1, 1-0) at 1 p.m. ET on Saturday in a Sun Belt East clash.

Georgia Southern vs. JMU Football Prediction
I’m picking JMU to win, but I also predict Georgia Southern will cover the spread at +6. I’m also predicting the game will go Under 58.5 total points.
Both of these teams are playing exceptionally well on both sides of the ball. For the most part, both teams are in the top five in the Sun Belt in terms of scoring offense and defense as well as total offense and defense.
But I believe the defenses will shine in this matchup. The Eagles allow the fewest points in the conference at 20.2 per game, while JMU is fourth in the league with 22.6 points per game allowed.
That’s why I think this will be a fairly low-scoring game. Georgia Southern will be able to keep this contest close, but I believe JMU will find a way to win again at home.
