Kennesaw State is still new to the FBS and Conference USA. And the Owls will have a new head coach in 2025 as well.
Brian Bohannon was the first head coach for KSU’s football program. He was a finalist for the Eddie Robinson Award, which goes to the best coach in the FCS, four times and a winner of the Big South Coach of the Year accolade three times.
He helped the Owls win two Big South championships and make four appearances in the FCS playoffs, getting to the quarterfinals twice. He was 71-30 at Kennesaw State before the Owls became a member of Conference USA in 2024.
But then the Owls went 1-8 to start this past season. That led to Bohannon no longer being the head coach.
KSU hired Jacksonville Jaguars running backs coach Jerry Mack to be the next leader of the program. The Owls are now aiming to make a substantial step forward in 2025.
Here’s more about Jerry Mack and his resume.
