There has only been one NFL Draft that saw more than one Navy player get drafted. That was in 1956 when George Welsh and Ron Beagle were both selected by the Chicago Cardinals.
This year’s draft could be the second time more than one Midshipman gets selected with Eli Heidenreich and Landon Robinson on the board.
Unlike Heidenreich, Robinson wasn’t invited to the NFL Combine. That didn’t stop him from putting on a solid performance in front of all 32 NFL clubs, though, who were all present at Navy’s Pro Day.
Robinson was one of the most disruptive interior defensive linemen not just in the Group of Five but across the entire FBS.

Landon Robinson’s 40 Time & Pro Day Results
Robinson did not compete in the NFL Combine. However, at Navy’s Pro Day, Robinson clocked a 4.48-second 20-yard shuttle and a 7.32-second three-cone drill. Both marks would have been first among defensive tackles at the NFL Combine.
Robinson’s 30 reps in the bench press would have tied for second-most among DT’s while his vertical (32.5 inches) and broad jump (9 feet, 2 inches) would have ranked in the top 10 at the combine. His time of 4.87 seconds in the 40-yard dash would have been fifth-best.
Landon Robinson’s Height & Weight
Robinson was measured at 5-foot-11, 291 pounds at his pro day.
Landon Robinson Stats & Highlights
Robinson capped his collegiate career by earning American Conference Defensive Player of the Year honors and was named first-team all-conference for the second consecutive season. He was the first-ever Navy player to earn that award. He was also a first-team Group of Five All-American.
Robinson finished the season with 64 total tackles and 6.5 sacks, which tied for third-most in the league. He also registered 8.5 tackles for loss. In 2024, he finished with 61 tackles, 5.5 TFLs, and four sacks.
Robinson participated in the East-West Shrine Bowl following the season, where he had a strong showing.

Robinson hails from Copley, Ohio, where he graduated from Copley High School.
Robinson also attended the Naval Academy Prep School in 2021-22.
Landon Robinson NFL Draft Profile & Comparison
Robinson’s athleticism is off the charts. There’s a reason he was named to the previous three editions of Bruce Feldman’s “Freaks List.” His explosiveness, quickness, and IQ often allow him to win at the line of scrimmage and get into the backfield or plug a gap.
While his size is his biggest downfall, he plays much bigger than he is and has no problem overpowering and getting leverage on an opposing offensive lineman. Robinson reportedly squats 700 pounds and boasts a ton of power.
Strictly relying on his power and speed won’t find him as much success playing on Sundays against bigger and stronger opponents, meaning Robinson will need to establish alternative moves to shed blockers.
Robinson’s speed allowed him to play some special teams snaps while at Navy, which could be an area he’s able to contribute to early in his pro career. He was clocked at 20.13 miles per hour with pads on.
Robinson may need to add a few pounds to see consistent playing time at nose tackle, but he has the character and the traits to make an NFL roster. He could have a career similar to that of Poona Ford, the Los Angeles Rams’ NT who has been wreaking havoc in the league for eight years despite being undersized.
