Navy hasn’t lost a game all season, which is one of the reasons the Midshipmen are ranked in the Associated Press Top 25.
But they face their most difficult test yet this week.
Navy, one of the top teams in the Group of Five, will square off with No. 12-ranked Notre Dame. The Midshipmen have one of the best offenses in the country this year, but only time will tell if they’ll continue to have that same level of success against Notre Dame – which has already lost once against a G5 school in Northern Illinois earlier this season.

Notre Dame vs. Navy Prediction
I predict Notre Dame will win but Navy will cover the spread at +13.5. I also project the game will go Over 51.5 total points.
I do think Notre Dame is the better team, even if the Fighting Irish proved to be vulnerable in their loss against Northern Illinois. But I don’t believe they’ll end up beating this Navy team by more than 10 points.
The Fighting Irish certainly have bounced back from their only loss of the season. They’ve won by double digits in four of their five games since then. But Navy has been so consistently dominant on both sides of the ball that I don’t expect Notre Dame will earn another easy win here.
The Midshipmen haven’t had many difficulties with anyone this season except for Memphis, which is a solid squad. But even that was a 12-point victory for Navy. And it’s easy to think about the Midshipmen as a team that wins by grinding it out thanks to their triple-option offense. But they’ve scored at least 34 points in all of their games and have gone over 40 points four times in six outings.
I think Notre Dame will take control of this game early, which will force Navy to keep up. But I think the Fighting Irish will end up winning by a single possession.
