Hayden Wolff, Old Dominion’s starting quarterback last season, is entering the transfer portal, he announced Tuesday on Twitter.
Wolff threw for 2,908 yards, 18 touchdowns, and six interceptions while completing 57% of his passes last season. His average of 242.3 passing yards per game was sixth in the Sun Belt.
Wolff started all 12 games in 2022 and started 22 contests in three seasons at ODU. He posted that he has two years of eligibility remaining.
“I will be entering the transfer portal as a Graduate Transfer, looking forward to the future,” Wolff said on Twitter.
Wolff was competing with Grant Wilson, a backup for Fordham last season, and Jack Shields, a redshirt sophomore who was a three-star prospect in high school, for the starting job this spring.
Kevin Decker, who was Fordham’s offensive coordinator, is entering his first season as the Monarchs’ OC and quarterbacks coach.
In 25 games played at ODU, Wolff threw for 5,578 yards, 30 touchdowns, and 16 picks while completing 59% of his throws.
Wolff led a last-minute drive to help the Monarchs defeat Virginia Tech 20-17 to start the 2022 campaign. But ODU went on to finish the year 3-9 overall and 2-6 in conference play.
