Air Force, Boise State, Colorado State, Fresno State, Hawaii, Nevada, New Mexico, San Diego State, San Jose State, UNLV, Utah State, and Wyoming comprise the Mountain West in 2024. That means 12 teams are in the Mountain West.
But who knows if that will remain the case for long.
The college football landscape has changed drastically, with several Pac-12 teams moving on to the Big Ten, the ACC, and the Big 12. Oregon State and Washington State, the remaining Pac-12 teams, have a scheduling agreement with the Mountain West now.
Only time will tell if the Mountain West stays as is, if the conference adds on some former Power Five programs, or if it loses teams as college football realignment continues.
