Colorado State began this season with a 2-3 overall record. The Rams lost against two Power Four programs, Texas and Colorado, by double digits and fell at Oregon State by eight points.
But since then, the Rams have gone 4-0 in Mountain West play and have a great opportunity to make it to the conference championship.
They’ll seek to keep that record against conference opponents perfect when they take on Wyoming tonight. The Cowboys are 2-7 and 2-3 against Mountain West teams but are coming off a 49-45 win at New Mexico.

Wyoming vs. Colorado State Prediction
I predict Colorado State will win and cover the spread at +8.5. I also project the game will go Under 46.5 total points.
Even after CSU lost star wide receiver Tory Horton, who has NFL aspirations but is out for the season due to injury, the Rams kept playing at a high level. And two of their last three contests have been fairly low scoring – the Rams beat Air Force 21-13 and New Mexico 17-6 before defeating Nevada 38-21 – so I could see this being a low-scoring contest as well.
And don’t get me wrong, I like how Wyoming is playing recently. The Cowboys not only won at New Mexico, but each of their last five contests have either been a win for Wyoming or were losses decided by 10 points or less.
Still, Colorado State has plenty to play for, and I think the Rams find a way to win by 10 points at home.
