Portland State had a tough 2017 season, but the seniors who came out for the 2018 Pro Day were hell-bent on changing that vibe and performed well at PSU's annual Pro Day.
CB Donovan Olumba has been mentioned as a future pro by many scouting services, and DE Davond Dade is another prospect the scouting services have mentioned repeatedly, but they weren't the only Vikings who turned heads on Wednesday during the only scheduled FCS Pro Day for March 14. Dade did post Top 10 NFL Combine numbers in the vertical jump, broad jump and 20-yard shuttle. And Olumba impressed in the vertical and broad jump — both athletes would have had Top 10 marks if they'd been in the NFL Combine. But they weren't the only ones.
Possibly the biggest winner was Khahlil Dawson, a wide receiver for the Viks. He posted four numbers that would have been Top 10 at the combine — the 40-yard dash, vertical, 3-cone and 20-yard shuttle.
"We all wanted to go out and do our best," Olumba told HERO Sports late Wednesday. "A couple days before pro day I saw Kahlil Dawson, Darnell Adams, Davond Dade, Tyler Foreman and Chris Seisay on the field doing drills on the field. I’m proud of how my guys did."
