Welcome to the 2021 FCS Jersey Countdown.
Leading up to Week 0 games on Aug. 28, HERO Sports is going to name the best returning FCS player by jersey number, 99-0. Due to rosters being updated at different times for teams across the country and to keep things consistent, jersey numbers are based on the 2020 fall-2021 spring season.

85: Abdul-Fatai Ibrahim, WR (Jr.) — Alabama A&M
Ibrahim made the Alabama A&M roster two years ago as a tryout participant and walk-on. From there, all he has done is put together back-to-back All-American seasons.
Ibrahim made a splash right away as a freshman in 2019. The 6-foot-1, 190-pounder led the explosive Alabama A&M offense with 59 catches and 11 receiving touchdowns. His 1,004 receiving yards ranked second on the team.
He earned HERO Sports Freshman All-American honors, was named to the All-SWAC First Team, and was a finalist for the Jerry Rice Award (top FCS freshman).
Ibrahim proved himself again this spring despite limited action. The Florida native played in three of five games, catching 18 passes for 277 yards and three TDs. HERO Sports named him on our Sophomore All-American team.
Alabama A&M had the second-highest scoring offense in the conference in 2019 (34.1 PPG) and the 2021 spring (36.5). The Bulldogs finished 5-0 in the spring season, winning the Cricket Wireless SWAC Football Championship. As they look to defend their conference title in a fully-loaded SWAC this fall, Ibrahim is expected to be one of the most dynamic weapons again in the league.
