Note: Jersey numbers are based on 2020 fall-2021 spring rosters.
10: Andre Miller, WR (Sr.) — Maine
Miller has the combination of speed and size (6-foot-2, 220 pounds) that excites NFL scouts. His ability to get behind a defense for an explosive play or go up and get the ball with the trust of his quarterback has led Miller to be one of the top pro prospects at wide receiver in the FCS. He recently was named to the 2022 Reese’s Senior Bowl Watchlist.
Miller played one season at Husson University before arriving at Maine in 2018. He had more of an impact on the offense the following year in 2019 with 28 catches for 529 yards and four touchdowns.
The spring 2021 season was when Miller saw his breakthrough performance. An All-CAA First Team selection, he had 21 catches for 348 yards and six TDs. He did that in just four games.
He averaged 87.0 receiving yards a game and 16.6 yards per reception. The six receiving TDs tied for the ninth-most in the FCS despite the limited games.
Miller enters the fall on the Preseason All-Conference First Team. Against a full slate of games, expect him to put up monstrous numbers. Miller has a chance to put good things on film this season against two FBS opponents, Northern Illinois and UMass, two winnable games for the Black Bears.
