After enduring the postponement of the 2020 fall season, a long list of standout players entering the transfer portal, and wondering if a spring season would actually happen, it is finally FCS game week.
We at HERO Sports waited patiently, having confidence the spring season would happen but unsure of who’s in and who’s out for both players and teams. With game week here, it’s time to reveal our preseason All-American Team, as selected by Brian McLaughlin and Sam Herder.

Sam’s coverage of the FCS began in 2012 as the sports editor and eventual editor-in-chief of NDSU’s The Spectrum. After graduating in 2015, he spent three years in the newspaper and magazine industry while starting his work for HERO Sports in the fall of 2016 as a freelancer.
