72: Jalen Sundell, OL (Sr.) — North Dakota State
Sundell has anchored NDSU’s dominant offensive line from his center position the last two seasons.
A two-star recruit out of Maryville, Missouri, he hit the starting lineup as a redshirt sophomore in the 2021 spring season. Sundell allowed zero sacks and had zero penalties as the Bison ranked No. 10 in rushing offense (218.4 YPG).
Last fall, Sundell started 11 of 15 games, missing some time due to injury. The 6-foot-5, 296-pounder was rated the No. 4 FCS center on PFF with a 76.3 grade. NDSU finished No. 2 in FCS rushing offense (280.6 YPG) and No. 12 in sacks allowed per game (1.13), going 14-1 en route to another national title.
Sundell comes from an athletic family, and his athleticism is evident when he pulls from his center position. His father and mother played college basketball, and his sister Serena plays basketball at Kansas State.
The Bison rushing attack returns every running back, and Sundell is one of four starting offensive linemen coming back. NDSU is ranked No. 1 in our preseason Top 25.
