Every week of the FCS season, the FCS Football Talk podcast will give out three game balls and a flag from the previous weekend’s action.

The game balls go to three standout team or player performances, while the flag is thrown on a head-scratching or disappointing performance.

  • Game ball: Furman
    • No. 4 Furman wins 29-17 at No. 8 Western Carolina
    • The Paladins are now 6-1 overall and 6-0 vs. the FCS, featuring two ranked wins over Mercer and WCU
  • Game ball: UNI’s Amauri Pesek-Hickson
    • Switched from LB to RB and ran 31 times for 180 yards and a score in a 27-0 win over No. 11 UND
  • Game ball: Montana State
    • No. 2 Montana State wins 42-30 at No. 3 Sac State 
    • MSU is now 6-1 with two ranked wins over Weber State and Sac State
  • Flag: Holy Cross
    • No. 15 Holy Cross loses 38-35 to Lafayette 
    • Lafayette remains undefeated vs. the FCS
    • Preseason Top 10 Holy Cross is now 4-3 overall
