The 2020-21 FCS football season has been divided. Conference schedules are going to be played in the spring, but some teams have decided to play a full non-conference schedule this fall and opt out of the spring.
Other teams are playing a few non-conference games and then plan to play their league schedule in the spring. Others plan to not play at all this academic year.
Currently, 90 FCS teams are scheduled to play games this spring. Here are the 20 FCS teams that have decided not to play. We’ll continue to update this.
Sacramento State — Not playing any games this academic year
Campbell — Scheduled 4 games this fall
Hampton — Not playing any games this academic year
North Alabama — Scheduled 4 games this fall
Towson — Not playing any games this academic year
*The Ivy League decided it will not play a spring season
8 Teams — Brown, Columbia, Cornell, Dartmouth, Harvard, Penn, Princeton, Yale
Eastern Kentucky — Scheduled 9 games this fall
Bethune-Cookman — Not playing any games this academic year
Florida A&M — Not playing any games this academic year
Abilene Christian — Scheduled 8 games this fall
Central Arkansas — Scheduled 10 games this fall
Houston Baptist — Scheduled 4 games this fall
Stephen F. Austin — Scheduled 10 games this fall
