According to ESPN's top draft analysts, South Dakota State tight end Dallas Goedert will be a first round selection when the 2018 NFL Draft rolls around at the end of the month.
The two ESPN analysts recently released a "dueling mock draft," and both listed the 6-foot-5, 256-pound tight end in their first round.

Todd McShay sent Goedert to the New Orleans Saints with the 27th pick, a popular landing spot for Goedert in mocks around the web.
McShay wrote: "My top-ranked tight end is a good value here and gives Drew Brees another playmaker."
Mel Kiper Jr. mocked Goedert to the Eagles with the last pick in the first round, giving them another playmaking option at tight end.
Kiper wrote: "Zach Ertz and Goedert would form one of the best tight end duos in the league."

In four seasons at South Dakota State, Goedert racked up 2,988 receiving yards on 198 catches (15.1 yards per catch) and scored 21 touchdowns. His breakout junior season was a 92-catch, 1,293-yard, 11-touchdown effort, which he followed up with a 72-catch, 1,111-yard, 7-touchdown senior season.
Goedert is considered a top-5 tight end prospect by just about every NFL scout out there, alongside names like Mark Andrews (Oklahoma), Hayden Hurst (South Carolina) and Mike Gesicki (Penn State).
