I could go either way with North Dakota or James Madison at this point. Certainly, UND’s results this year so far have been stellar, so I pumped them to No. 1 this week. I think one of the toughest deals with this spring FCS Top 25 is trying to figure out just how many Missouri Valley Football Conference teams need to be in this. At this point, it is clearly the top conference.
Delaware has done some impressive things so far this year, as have Jacksonville State and Sam Houston. VMI keeps doing impressive things on the field and is beginning to get people wondering if this is the Keydets team people have been waiting for since the early parts of the Reagan Administration.
Newcomers on my ballot are my bottom four teams, but this can all change rapidly. Top 25 ballots should always be fluid, but this spring this poll ballot has more challenging than ever.
