In a similar move to the FBS Oversight Committee, the FCS Oversight Committee has recommended one transfer portal window, a 10-day window in January.
Under the recommendation, undergraduate and postgraduate FCS players could enter the portal from Jan. 2-11, which is a change from two transfer windows in previous years — a 20-day period in December and a 10-day period in April.
For players who compete in a postseason game on or after Jan. 7, they may provide written transfer notification during a consecutive five-day period beginning the day after their team’s final postseason contest.
The Division I Administrative Committee must approve the legislative changes. The vote is expected to occur before Oct. 1.
