The portal impacts the FCS negatively and positively. Several FCS standouts have moved to the FBS. But the FCS has also seen many FBS transfers have a huge impact on their team. The FBS spending more scholarships on transfers has also allowed the FCS to get higher-level recruits out of high school.
There are twice as many FBS-to-FCS transfers than FCS-to-FBS transfers this offseason, on par with the last two offseasons.
