The countdown to the 2018 college football season is on. Four FCS teams are in action Aug. 25 as Duquesne takes on UMass, Prairie View faces Rice and North Carolina A&T and Jacksonville State square off in ESPN’s FCS Kickoff.

79: Dominic Lombard, senior offensive lineman — Fordham
The first player to come to mind when Fordham football is mentioned is Chase Edmonds. The stud running back had rushing seasons of more than 1,600, 1,700 and 1,800 yards his first three seasons. Injuries in 2017 prevented him from breaking the all-time FCS rushing record, but he was still drafted in the fourth round by Arizona.
As most good running backs do, they give credit to their offensive line. And Lombard has been a key member up front for the Rams. He started five games in 2016 as a sophomore. Last season, Lombard started all 11 games.
He'll be a leader on that unit this season and provides good size at 6-foot-5, 295 pounds.
