Last year, Texas Southern WR Darvin Kidsy caught a touchdown in the game and went on to catch 10 passes and a touchdown in the preseason and is currently on the Washington Redskins' practice squad. Others like Richard Johnson (Howard), A.J. Hantak (Eastern Illinois), Tyrin Holloway (Western Illinois), Chris Hardeman (Houston Baptist) and Randall Laguerre (Central Connecticut State) got NFL shots — and they all played in the 2017 FCS Bowl. Several others have had doors open to the CFL and the new spring AAF league which begins shortly.

Here's a list of the 2018 FCS participants, listed by school.
