Welcome to the 2019 FCS Kickoff Jersey Countdown.
The regular season begins Saturday, Aug. 24 with Samford vs. Youngstown State in the Guardian Credit Union FCS Kickoff along with Villanova playing at Colgate.

84: Andrew Edgar, WR (So.) — Illinois State
Edgar, who is wearing No. 4 this year, showed he has an incredibly bright future for the Redbirds with his standout redshirt freshman season in 2018. Named to the Missouri Valley Football Conference All-Newcomer Team and a HERO Sports Freshman All-American, Edgar also finished second in the MVFC Freshman of the Year voting.
The 6-foot, 190-pounder had 44 catches for 746 yards, which are both Illinois State freshman records. He added four receiving touchdowns and averaged an impressive 17 yards per catch.
Edgar had three games of more than 100 yards receiving. One was a 111-yard effort off of five catches in an FBS win versus Colorado State. Another was a big-time performance against No. 7 South Dakota State with nine catches for 202 yards and two touchdowns.
With last year's No. 1 target Spencer Schnell gone, expect big things from Edgar in 2019.
