67: Austin Sanders, OL (Sr.) — Mercer

Making the switch from right tackle to left tackle isn't as easy as some fans would think. Whether it's something as simple as your stance or the bigger challenge of switching your footwork around, the transition is a process.

For Sanders, it was a natural switch.

After transferring from Mississippi Valley State, the 6-foot-3, 287-pounder won Mercer's starting right tackle job in 2017 and went on to start all 11 games. He earned All-Southern Conference Second Team honors from the coaches.

Last year, Sanders moved to left tackle and started ten games. The media voted him on the All-SoCon First Team while the coaches had him on the Second Team again.

Expect more honors to come Sanders' way as Mercer looks to improve on its 5-6 record that saw four losses by a touchdown or less.
