24: D'Angelo Amos, DB (Jr.) — James Madison

Amos showed his play-making ability as a redshirt freshman in 2017 when he served as JMU's primary punt returner late in the season. He finished the year with 18 punt returns for 284 yards and one touchdown.

Last season, Amos stepped into a starting role at safety and finished with 64 total tackles and six passes defended. He became even more dangerous as a punt returner and had 549 yards and three touchdowns off of 25 returns. His 22.0 yards per return and three scores ranked first in the FCS. Amos was named to several All-American teams and was a First Team All-CAA selection.

Amos is on HERO Sports' Preseason All-American First Team as a return specialist. But don't let his special teams accolades overshadow how good of a safety Amos is. He's a key part in what looks to be the best defense in the FCS this year.
