2019 FCS Kickoff Countdown: 70 Days, The Best Player Who Wears No. 70 Is Wofford’s Josh Burger

HERO Sports is going to count down each day by highlighting the best player in the FCS who wears the jersey number equal to the number of days until kickoff. You can find the running list of top players here.

*Note: Jersey numbers are from the 2018 season.

70: Josh Burger, OL (Jr.) — Wofford

Wofford's triple-option attack ranked fifth in the FCS with 311.7 rushing yards a game last year. With all five offensive linemen returning, the Terriers are in store for a special 2019 season.

As just a sophomore in 2018, Burger led the team in knockdown blocks from his right tackle position. He was named to the all-Southern Conference Second Team and also was a HERO Sports Sophomore All-American.

At 6-foot-4 and 290 pounds, Burger is a key part of an extremely talented o-line. On our preseason All-American teams, Justus Basinger and Michael Ralph are both Second Team All-Americans. There is definitely an argument that Burger belongs on there as well.
