94: Jonah Williams, DL (Sr.) — Weber State
Weber State had a star-studded defensive lineup in 2018. The Wildcats featured 10 All-Big Sky Conference players on that side of the ball, eight of which were named on the First Team.
Two of those first teamers return in 2019, one being Jonah Williams.
At 6-foot-5 and 270 pounds, Williams is an essential piece to Weber's fantastic defense. A 2016 HERO Sports Freshman All-American, Williams' numbers dipped down a bit in 2017. But last year he established himself as one of the top defensive players in the Big Sky.
Williams totaled 42 tackles and seven tackles for loss in 2018. In his career, he has 132 tackles, 17 TFLs and 7.5 sacks.
The Wildcats are coming off back-to-back trips to the quarterfinals, games in which they've narrowly lost 31-28 and 23-18. If Williams and the Weber defense can continue their level of play despite big holes needing to be filled, this team is expected to make another run into December.
