22: Rashad Robinson, CB (Sr.) — James Madison
NOTE: Robinson is wearing No. 1 in 2019.
Robinson entered his senior season last year as a top NFL Draft prospect in the subdivision. But a season-ending foot injury in preseason camp resulted in a medical hardship. He's back for a second go of his senior year and is a part of a loaded defensive unit that can be the best in the FCS.
At 5-foot-11, Robinson played in all 12 games as a freshman in 2015. He started 11 games the next year and had two interceptions and four pass breakups. Robinson turned it up a notch in 2017, picking off seven passes, scoring one defensive touchdown and adding nine pass breakups. The First Team All-CAA selection was also named on four All-American teams.

Robinson is on HERO Sports' Preseason All-American First Team along with STATS and Athlon Sports.
Last year around this time, many expected Robinson to be in an NFL camp in August of 2019. His injury delayed that by a year, but JMU cornerback Jimmy Moreland was selected in the seventh round by Washington and is impressing so far. If Robinson performs this season as he did in 2017, which is expected, the Dukes should have back-to-back NFL Draft picks.
