Welcome to the 2020 FCS Jersey Countdown.

Throughout the May-August months, HERO Sports is going to name the best returning FCS player by jersey number, 99-1. Due to rosters being updated at different times for teams across the country and to keep things consistent, jersey numbers are based on the 2019 season.

The full 99-1 countdown/schedule can be found here.

*Note: Jersey numbers are based on 2019 rosters.

55: Jordan Hill, LB (Sr.) — Harvard

Harvard has one of the best traditions in the FCS. The Crimson have only one football captain every season, voted on by the players. It’s the ultimate sign of locker room respect in a tradition that dates back to 1872.

The 147th Harvard football captain for the 2020 season will be Jordan Hill.

Hill is a back-to-back All-Ivy League selection, being named to the Second Team in 2018 and the First Team last year. He led the team in tackles both years, combining for 126 tackles in 20 games played along with 2.5 sacks and nine tackles for loss.

The 6-foot-1, 220-pounder has been a big contributor for Harvard since his true freshman season in 2016, where he had 54 tackles. Expect a huge senior season for the team captain.
